CURTAIN CALL: Summer Reading Program Closing Celebration

As the sun sets on our 2024 Summer Reading Program, we're wrapping up this season with some solar flair. We may be dimming the lights for this CURTAIN CALL, but we're ready to celebrate all of our Summer Reading stars.

The adventure continues at your library with this ALL AGES event.

Help us celebrate the closing of the Summer Reading Program as we roll out the red carpet on August 8th for the MMPL SUMMER READING CURTAIN CALL.

4:30 PM - Event Opens [FREE Food, Games, & More!]
5:00 PM - Story Time with Smokey the Bear
6:00 PM - Book Reading with author Kao Kalia Yang.

👕 - Readers who earned MMPL SWAG or the LUNAR LANYARD will be able to pick up their rewards.
👕 - •The•Locker•Room• will open their online store for folks to purchase their own MMPL SWAG, with a portion of proceeds going to Friends of Morton Mandan Public Library

🐻 - Celebrate Smokey the Bear's 80th Birthday! Smokey will be visiting the library, accompanied by his friends, the Mandan City Fire Department.

🌻 - Author Kao Kalia Kang will begin her North Dakota book tour by reading her children's book, "The Rock in My Throat." Brought to you by North Dakota Asian-American Arts and Cultural Initiative and Northern Plains National Heritage Area

🪐 - Fun and games by Mandan Little Learners

🌭🍦- Enjoy some FREE FOOD (while supplies last) courtesy of BNC National Bank, U Therapy, and Cloverdale Foods Company
