Join us after the free lunch program for storytime and STEM learning activities with Professor Starr! Kids will have a blast discovering new insights about the universe beyond the planet we call home. Program will take place at the bandstand in Dykshoorn park. Stop by for tons of outer-space fun!

About our NASA Ambassador: Nikkita Starr was born and raised in North Dakota. While in middle school, she remembers having had the opportunity to learn about constellations and the night sky in a portable planetarium, and has been fascinated with space ever since. While her life may not have led her to a career in space study, it was her continued passion for space that helped her to be selected as the Solar System Ambassador for North Dakota in 2022. As a Solar System Ambassador, Nikkita has had the opportunity to help educate people of all ages in North Dakota about space, the solar system, space exploration and more. From elementary school presentations (her favorite), to speaking at astronomy festivals, Nikkita loves sharing her knowledge on all things space with anyone who will listen.
