HeritageHub is a new digital tool available to MMPL Patrons. HeritageHub is a database containing* searchable obituaries, death notices, and Social Security Death Index (SSDI) Records.
You can use this tool to help with historical or genealogy research (or simply because you're curious!). HeritageHub is accessible online 24/7 with your MMPL library card! If you aren't a patron of MMPL, you can still use HeritageHub with our public computers!
As part of the launch of HeritageHub, MMPL is asking you to use your investigative skills for HeritageHub "Guess Who" Trivia! Log in to HeritageHub and search for these mystery Morton County individuals and use their e-epitaphs for clues to solve each question. Your answers hold the key to solving the FINAL question and will earn you a prize.
Here's how it works:
- View the images below for guidance on how to log in, how to conduct a search, and how to create your own personal folder within HeritageHub
- These are also available as handouts at the library
- Ask an MMPL Staff member to assist you with any questions!
- Download the "HeritageHub Guess Who Trivia" .pdf file [LOCATED UNDER "ATTACHMENTS" ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THIS PAGE]
- You can print out this page or write your answers down on a separate page
- MMPL does provide print services!
- You will need to use the internet to access HeritageHub in order to complete this Trivia challenge!
- After you've found the answers to each of the 8 General Questions AND the FINAL QUESTION, bring your answers to the MMPL CIRCULATION DESK to get your prize!
- Answers must be turned in by MONDAY, MARCH 17th
- Attend the EXTRA! EXTRA! Event on Monday, March 17th at 5:30 PM to experience another special MMPL launch!
*HeritageHub pulls records from thousands of newspapers; however, their collection does not contain ALL titles. Visit the HeritageHub FAQ page online for information about which publications and dates are available.
