Program Description

Event Details

Join us for a Dungeons and Dragons Workshop hosted in partnership with Comic Realms in Bismarck. This event is set up as an "Introduction" event, so if you've never been a DM before, this is the place to start! But it's also going to be a great resource if you've been running games for a while and want some advice for how to be even better. Our presenter, Wes Anderson, is a "Veteran" Dungeon Master of many years. He has lead games for many age groups, so he will be a great source of information for any level of DM.

I'm brand new to Dungeons and Dragons. What is a "Dungeon Master"?

To put it simply, a "Dungeon Master" is the "narrator" of a Dungeons and Dragons session. Whether they create a world from scratch, or use a pre-made adventure, the Dungeon Master prepares each session ahead of time, and provide descriptions and background information for any locations, events, and characters that the other players encounter. Essentially, they provide the setting and general outline for the overall story, and the players shape the details as they experience the world that has been set up.
